Vision Statement

Mentoring Women in Ministry International is to be a resource of encouragement and support for the woman in ministry and pastoral family.
GOALS AND PHASES

Phase One - monthly e-newsletter with articles of encouragement, inspiration and interviews with women who have been in the trenches of ministry. Provide online presence through our website, blog, Facebook and Twitter.

Phase Two - Provide a retreat setting where groups of women can come and receive coaching, renewal and refreshing. Begin with four retreats a year and develop more as needed. Women will come to a relaxed beach or mountain atmosphere where they can unwind from ministry. They will spend 24 hours with a small group of women sharing where they are in ministry as they go through the coaching book, “Shattering the Glass Walls of the Woman in Ministry.” They will be encouraged to stay overnight on Saturday and attend Wave Church on Sunday, or a similar church, depending on location of retreat. This will allow them to see what God is doing in the life of this church and receive information on resources that will benefit them in their own church life.

Phase three - Purchase first home to be bought to facilitate this ministry. The first home will be purchased in Virginia Beach, near the oceanfront. The home is actually 2 condos (one for the women in ministry weekends; the other for pastoral family). Reasoning for being near the oceanfront…there is a healing that takes place by spending time walking and enjoying the relaxed setting. The atmosphere breeds healing and restoration. The homes are 2500 square feet each in order to house the women comfortably and facilitate the pastoral families.

Before moving into Phase Four, we will have to partner with ministries, businesses, and executives, who can be friends of the vision.

Phase Four - An extension of Phase Three. By strategically purchasing the condos, MWIM Int’l will be able to house nine pastoral families each year, at no cost to the family. The only cost they will incur will be transportation to the location and while there, food and any recreation in the area. These families will be able to spend time together rekindling love for each other and renewing their vision and passion for ministry. They will be able to take walks on the beach and go beach cruising on beach cruisers.

Each family, coming for the month, will have spoken to the Director, and a carefully thought out regimen will have been planned. This will include much needed time together as a family. Teaching CD’s/DVD’s will be provided to listen to or watch. Activities will be available for the whole family, including any special needs. They will attend a church on the weekends approved by the ministry to renew their spirit and teens will be encouraged to attend youth meetings. Directors of MWIM Int’l will be available as needed, counseling available as needed, but the families will be encouraged to just relax and enjoy their time together.

While the pastoral family is taking a month sabbatical from church responsibilities, a team of speakers will be in their church speaking health and encouragement into the church leadership. The church will be taught about leadership DNA and how their destiny is connected to their leader. The entire month will be strategically thought out and planned. If the church has a staff that can take care of the services while the pastor's are away Mentoring Women in Ministry Int'l will do a leadership training with the staff of the church and the Sunday the pastor's return will be a planned day of celebration.

When the month is ended the pastor’s family will be refueled to go back pumped and excited about the vision God has given the ministry. MWIM Int’l will be in contact with them regularly; and every six months go and speak encouragement into the church and its leadership, as long as they desire.

To help cover costs for each family the purchased condo will be rented weekly during the summer season for 12 weeks.

As finances allow the ministry will expand into the other phases and reaching more and more pastoral families.

Phase Five will replicate this process in California as funds become available. This will help us reach pastoral families more easily on the West Coast.

Phase Six will replicate the process in Colorado as funds are available for families in the region.

Phase Seven will replicate the process in Florida as funds become available for families in this area.

At the end of these phases MWIM Int’l will be reaching 36 pastoral families yearly, in addition to the four weekend retreats for women. Each year MWIM Int’l has a desire to partner with ministries worldwide, to resource women in ministry and pastoral families globally.

As we partner together we will be strategically tearing down walls of discouragement and restoring health and vitality into ministry. By doing this we are creating a strong offensive line, becoming unstoppable and advancing the Kingdom of God.

Verse of The Day - Comes from the NIV Bible
13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
  1 Corinthians 10:13
